Hip Strain
When overuse or injury stretches or tears the muscle fibers, the resulting injury is called a strain. Strains of the muscles around the hip and pelvis can cause pain and spasm. The most common strains are groin pulls and hamstring strains.
 
Burning Thigh Pain
Meralgia Paresthetica is a condition when a large nerve to the thigh is compressed. Injury to the hip or repetitive activities could irritate the nerve leading to pain, burning sensation, tingling, or numbness in outer part of the thigh.
 
Hip Labral Tear
Injury or repetitive movements on the hip can cause wear-and-tear to the hip socket cartilage call the labrum. A hip labral tear may cause pain or a "catching" sensation in the hip joint.
 
Post-Traumatic Arthritis
Injury such as fall or fracture to the hip joint can lead to traumatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that is caused from blunt, penetrating, or repeated trauma to the joint. Traumatic arthritis can cause damage to the articular cartilage of the hip leading to pain.
